LOCATION OF THE STUDY AREA The selected area is the Path-Row 28-46 Landsat TM satellite image, covering a zone where three states of Mexico have common limits (see Figure 1): Michoacán, Jalisco and Guanajuato, in the physiographic province of the "Eje Neovolcánico Transversal". This area is located within a region called "El Bajío," a zone transformed by agriculture and livestock. Figure 1  | |
