Mexico-City: 8th-11th of October 2007

Location of the event site

How to get there:

The workshop will be held at the “Unidad de Semninarios - Ignacio Chavez” of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). As this is an isolated part (ecological zone) of the university there is no direct public transportation.
We recommend that you take registered taxis at the hotels. From the Hotel Radisson it is approx. a 20 minutes walk.
CONABIO tries to offer a shuttle service several times a day to pick you up from the hotel(s) and also take you back. Schedules will be provided.
Below you can find the locations of the event site as well as the Hotel Radisson and the location of CONABIO marked with small red crosses.

Getting to the hotels from the airport:

Cabs

Arriving in Mexico City, the best thing is to take authorized cabs. Those cabs charge depending on the passenger's destination. You can buy your tickets prior to taking the cab in booths with Taxi signs that are located close to the luggage claim at the airport main exits (yellow-white).
There are several services and therefore different prices. The cheapest way is to take regular cars, which charge approx $240 pesos (approx. 24 dollars) to the hotel Radisson or Inn Sur. If they want to charge more you have picked the wrong car type.
