In this section one can download a digital copy of the Biótica Information System, release 3.1 (One can select the lenguage in which to work: Spanish or English). This link leads to a page where the instructions to install BIÓTICA are given. The catalog of Taxonomic Authorities compatible with BIÓTICA 3.1 can be downloaded, the main localities of Mexico and the Users Manual in PDF format.

In the Modifications section of this site the changes made by module for this release can be found.

In the List of Problems section the problems that have been detected for this release. If a problem is found in BIÓTICA that is not shown in this list, please inform to Conabio, using the Register of Problems form available in this same section.

To use the system a Key Number is mandatory. This number is given by Conabio and to get it is necessary to use the form available in the Register Number entry.
