The collection of Pelagic Copepods proposes to contribute, in the taxonomic-biogeographic area, to the knowledge of this group of crustacea which has been given little attention in this zone of Mexico: marine copepods. The database includes close to 120 species which have been collected in some 300 samples of zooplankton obtained in various marine environments of the Mexican Caribbean in the Mayan zone. The information contained in the database of this collection pertains to the SNIB and includes 2 652 records of samples corresponding to 30 families, 50 genera and 114 species of pelagic copepods.
