HYDROLOGICAL BASINS

Location

The zone of impact of hurricane Pauline within the state of Oaxaca was the southern area of the state, with the following extreme geographic coordinates: from 15º 39' 36'' to 16º 15' 00'' North lat. and from 96º 00' 00'' to 97º 42' 00'' West long.

This zone was delimited based on the following hydrological basins: Río Grande Basin, Río Colotepec Basin and Barra Coyula Basin.

Districts included in this area are: Villa de Tututepec de Melchor Ocampo, Sta. Catarina Juquila, SantiagoYaitepec, Sta. María Temaxcaltepec, Sn. Juan Lachao, Sn. Jerónimo Coatlán, Sn. Pablo Coatlán, Sn. Sebastián Coatlán, Sta. Catarina Loxicha, Sto. Tomás Tamazulapan, Sn. Andrés Paxtlán, Sn. Sebastián Río Hondo, Sta. Lucía Miahuatlán, Sn. Mateo Río Hondo, Candelaria Loxicha, Sto. Domingo de Morelos, Sta. María Colotepec, Sn. Pedro Mixtepec, Stos. Reyes Nopala, Sta. María Temaxcaltepec, Sn. Gabriel Mixtepec, San Bartolo de Loxicha, San Baltasar Loxicha, Pluma Hidalgo, Sn. Mateo Pioas, San Marcial Ozolotepec, Sta. María Huatulco, Sn. Pedro Pochutla and Sta. María Tonameca.
