VEGETATION TYPES

Results compiled from studies of the National Forest Inventory made it possible to make a qualitative comparison of classes used with respect to material made by the National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics (INEGI) in its land use and vegetation map, identifying changes in land use in zones affected by the hurricane. In the map of the National Forest Inventory different types of conserved vegetation, fragmented forests and rainforests, along with completely disturbed areas are represented. Agricultural zones are identified too, both irrigated and seasonal crops (land use), bodies of water and areas without apparent vegetation.
